
Thundercat makes his acting debut in The Book of Boba Fett – the new Star Wars series on Disney+. He appears in “Chapter 4 – The Gathering Storm” as a body-modification artist known simply as The Modifier.. It’s his first on-screen acting role after voicing “Grune The Destroyer” (and penning a song) in Cartoon Network’s Thundercats Roar animated series.

The iconic artist recently finished his biggest North American headline tour to date after It Is What It Is won Best Progressive R&B Album at 63rd GRAMMY Awards in 2021. New track “Satellite (feat. Louis Cole and Genevieve Artadi)” is on the Insecure Season 5 OST and he also recently worked with Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars, aka Silk Sonic, and Kaytranada on his Intimidated EP.
At the end of 2021 Thundercat celebrated the tenth anniversary of his debut album The Golden Age of Apocalypse with a super-deluxe gold holographic vinyl edition for Record Store Day. What’s more the cult classic “Them Changes” is having a viral moment on Tik Tok currently with the ‘Lens Swap’ filter.
Thundercat embarks on new tour dates later this year, including a headlining set of dates in Europe followed by additional Euro dates supporting the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Thunder will continue to support RHCP during the American leg of their tour as well, which kicks off in July.
