Sandberg Guitars today announced several new basses for Winter NAMM 2020! The Lionel Bass is a new short-scale (30”) passive bass, the California TT4 SuperLight with Roasted Maple neck, the Nighthawk Plus, and the addition of Aguilar Electronics to the options list!
30” short-scale – Ideal for maximum mobility and comfort, especially enticing for guitarists and fans of a shorter scale.
These will be passive with a tried-and-true split coil pickup and will feature both matte and aged finishes.
California TT4 SuperLight w/ ROASTED MAPLE:
The popular SuperLight series will now feature an ultra lightweight Paulownia body with tones akin to the popular swamp ash wood. The new ROASTED MAPLE necks offer a stunning, elegant look and warmer tone with a beautiful balance. (Please note: Roasted Maple will be available to Sandberg series bass!)
An upgrade from the Nighthawk series, these will feature the Sandberg BLACK LABEL pickups and preamp for added bite and aggressive tones, a blacked-out headstock, black hardware, an anodized aluminium pickguard, and brand-new metallic finishes mixed in-house at Sandberg; Inca Silver, Copper, and Dark Grey
California VM5 with Aguilar Electronics:
Aguilar has been a trusted, premium electronics company that bassists have preferred for decades. The VM5 5-string premiering at NAMM will include the OBP-2 Preamp (boost/cut bass and treble), the classic sounds from the AG 5P 60s split coil pickup in the neck position, and the thunderous AG 5M in the bridge position brings clarity and precision to round out the sound.
These basses will be available starting January 14th at a variety of dealers and will be featured in the Sandberg Configurator . For more information on these basses, visit sandberg-guitars.de/basses/
