Bassist/solo artist Norm Stockton has released the ninth episode and single of his “Grooves & Sushi” web series and CD/DVD project. The instrumental project incorporates elements of contemporary jazz, modern rock, world music, classical, funk, fusion, EDM, and more.
Episode 9 features a funky, rock-infused interpretation of “Mirrors”, the modern day classic from pop icon Justin Timberlake. The only cover song of the project, this tune was the first Grooves & Sushi performance to be tracked.
Grooves & Sushi features many iconic, world-class musicians recorded and filmed performing together live in Norm’s living room. Each session assembles musicians who have never played together prior to the taping, playing music that has never been performed before.
An on-site sushi chef serves up great eats as Norm & his friends share their thoughts on music, sushi, creativity, art and more.
