Marleaux Bass guitars from Clausthal-Zellerfeld are breaking new ground in several ways with their breathtaking new bass.
The most striking feature of the Marleaux SPOCK electric bass is its archtop body, which is 100% made in Germany and consists of a “Marleaux Logic Mesh” top. This transparent material, unique to bass building and never used before, has tremendous strength and, most importantly, sounds sensational!
“The ‘Marleaux Logic Mesh’ top allows for a variety of aesthetic visions to be realized for customers. However, it’s not just the appearance that speaks for this unusual concept, as the SPOCK model also impresses with its exceptionally low weight.”
The Marleaux SPOCK combines a 32-inch scale (medium scale) with a whopping 28 frets. Two coils are hidden within the sustainably wooden pickup housing, with the ability to wire in parallel, series, and single coil settings using a mini-switch. The onboard electronics feature a 3-band EQ and passive tone control, which can also be used in a purely passive manner.
New to the Marleaux SPOCK is the innovative bridge design made in-house: The floating string holder made of a wood-stainless steel laminate can be ordered in different versions thanks to “Regio Tone Wood.”
