January 1, 2021: Ibanez has announced a number of fresh SR Premium models for 2021. The SR4CMLTD & SR5CMLTD are a special, limited models featuring a Walnut body with a Curley Maple/ Ash top. Its 5-piece neck is made of Panga Panga and Purpleheart and is topped with a bound Panga/Panga fretboard. 

Nordstrand® Big Single pickups with special wood covers supply power, volume, and clarity that when paired with the Ibanez Custom 3-band EQ, offers plenty of tonal versatility. The additional new models bring a variety of new finishes and wood combinations, injecting enticing new aesthetics into this already popular line of basses. 

The SR1605W supplies a unique benefit in that it features 18mm string spacing, 1.5mm wider that our typical 5-string SR spacing. This modification delivers a more familiar feel to players who prefer wider spacing for certain techniques and a playing styles. Additionally, the SR1300SB series features the brand new, Ibanez exclusive, Nordstrand® Big Break™ pickups. This design crams a powerful, offset split coil pickup into a soapbar-style pickup, producing a full-bodied, powerful, aggressive tonal texture, while still retaining the clarity that’s characteristic of single coil tone with noiseless performance.
