Freekbass announces that he will be performing the national anthem on bass, at TQL Stadium before the FC Cincinnati vs. Columbus Crew Major League Soccer game on Saturday, August 27, 2022.
“It’s been a lifelong dream to perform the national anthem solo on bass”, stated Freekbass, who performed the anthem with vocalist, Sammi Garett during a Cincinnati Reds game in 2019. “This will be the first time I’m doing it solo on bass guitar, and I am just so thankful and humbled that FC Cincinnati invited me to be a part of this amazing day.”
As well as performing the national anthem, Freekbass will be leaning into his funk-bass roots, playing original bass licks as each player is being introduced on the field. Freekbass is featured as part of the ‘Hell Is Real’ Derby, which has always been an epic event. Tickets and info are available at the link below.
