On his latest release, Fever 333’s Aric Improta has enlisted Tool bassist Justin Chancellor for the track “EXU,” which was released via a psychedelic music video featuring the duo in a mirrored infinity room.

Seen without his iconic Wal Basses, Chancellor is equipped with his 1963 Fender Precision bass, which is heavily effected and distorted throughout the song. Justin even puts down his pick and uses his fingers for portions of the track.

Says Improta of working with Chancellor, “Justin is honestly one of the most open-minded artists I’ve worked with, and all of his ideas were distinctly unique. I’d say those are the two qualities I hold in the highest regard when working with musicians, so it made the process that much more rewarding.”
