“Kill Your Darlings” is the third EP by Finkbass. Feeling devastated by heartbreak, Laura Fink wrote these five songs in only four days about the end of a relationship. Without intending it, their next EP had been created. Those who are now expecting a typical heartache-album are mistaken. Instead, Finkbass delivers empowering messages that stay with the listener. The solo-artist confidently sings about inevitable endings, dreaming about getting back together and the irony of feeling inspired after the break-up. With “Kill Your Darlings” Laura Fink shows once again their remarkable evolution as a solo-artist. With a synthesizer as the newest edition to Finkbass’ musical setup, their main instrument, the bass guitar, still gets enough room to shine. The sound remains sometimes sassy and in-your-face, other times spherical, but always groovy.

“Kill Your Darlings” will be released worldwide on October 23rd, 2020.

An insiders’ tip within the queer communities, and highly praised by bass players and music lovers all over the world, rising solo-artist Finkbass combines what is most precious to them: empowerment and really good music. With a stunning stage presence and charisma, Finkbass transports their music and message with a compelling energy that is never too forceful but always charming and effortless. Just like the music that the solo artist brings to the stage. The bass guitar is masterfully put into the foreground and thereby rid of its image as the uninteresting background instrument. When performing live, the artist also leaves no doubt about their mission for queer visibility and empowerment. An intriguing mixture of musical skill, the joy of playing and activism that captures the audience.
