“Kill Your Darlings” is the third EP by Finkbass. Feeling devastated by heartbreak, Laura Fink wrote these five songs in only four days about the end of a relationship. Without intending it, their next EP had been created. Those who are now expecting a typical heartache-album are mistaken. Instead, Finkbass delivers empowering messages that stay with the listener. The solo-artist confidently sings about inevitable endings, dreaming about getting back together and the irony of feeling inspired after the break-up. With “Kill Your Darlings” Laura Fink shows once again their remarkable evolution as a solo-artist. With a synthesizer as the newest edition to Finkbass’ musical setup, their main instrument, the bass guitar, still gets enough room to shine.
