The foundation of the EBS714 and EBS715 rests on a body featuring a solid okoume sides with a striking walnut top. Finished in a sleek matte coating, this specific combination of tonewoods is selected to provide structural integrity alongside a highly resonant low end and balanced midrange definition. The sleek lines of the body are accentuated by a streamlined aesthetic that balances traditional woods with contemporary performance demands, refining natural resonance without excessive body weight.
Both instruments feature a continuous okoume neck-thru constructed with a comfortable C-shape profile, improving stability and ensuring a consistent tonal foundation across the entire instrument. The neck is a full 35-inch scale length, topped by a fast, 24 fret fingerboards, well-suited for modern fusion, funk, and metal techniques, and is adorned with shell inlays.
The electronics package on the EBS714 and EBS715 is driven by a versatile active dual-humbucker (2H) pickup configuration. Players can dial in their tone using a comprehensive preamp system consisting of one master volume knob and a dedicated 3-band EQ providing boost and cut capabilities across the bass, middle, and treble frequencies.
Complementing the structural build, the basses use a specialized through-body string design that guides the strings through the instrument to maximize sustain and mechanical string tension.
