In promotion of their triumphant return to the silver screen for Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, Derek Smalls (Harry Shearer), Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest), and David St. Hubbins (Michael McKean) made their first television appearance in over 15 years last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

With all three members sporting basses, they took the late night stage to perform their classic ode to bass “Big Bottom” where they were joined by low end superstars Tal Wilkenfeld and Thundercat. With five basses onstage, including Thundercat’s double neck Ibanez, the band ripped through the song delivering low frequencies that were off the charts.
