Bass Magazine caught all of the action behind the biggest jazz fest of the year

The 2026 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival took place April 23rd-26th and April 30th-May 3rd. As always the festival combined local acts and legends, Rock, R&B, Hip-Hop, Gospel, Jazz, Blues, World Music, and more. Typically it does rain during these weekends and it did Saturday weekend one and on weekend 2 Thursday and Friday the headline sets had to be moved up several hours for the rainstorm and a number of acts were cancelled. The second weekend lineup included headliners the Eagles, The Black Keys, Widespread Panic, Lake Street Dive Alabama Shakes and Lainey Wilson   Lettuce’s first ever Jazz Fest performance, George Porter Jr., Leo Nocentelli Terence Blanchard & Ravi Coltrane Anders Osborne, Dumpstaphunk, Little Feat, Jason Marsalis, Dragonsmoke, and many more.
