Sublime announce the release of a new song titled โ€œFeel Like That,โ€ marking the first original studio track to feature vocals by both the late Bradley Nowell and his son Jakob Nowell. Driven by the rhythm section of founding members Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh, Sublime entrusted Scott Woodruff of Stick Figure to add his vocal style and production to the track. With the blend of old and new, father and son, โ€œFeel Like Thatโ€ delivers a fresh sound with elements of the classic Sublime vibe. โ€œFeel Like Thatโ€ is produced by Grammy award-contributing producers Stick Figure and Johnny Cosmic along with longtime Sublime collaborator Michael โ€œMiguelโ€ Happoldt. Fans can listen to โ€œFeel Like Thatโ€ here:ย https://ffm.to/sublimefeellikethat.

โ€œThis song came about in an organic way. My uncles and I always want to collab with artists in different modern music scenes. But hearing my own voice on a track side by side with my dads voice really feels like the classic Sublime sound stepping into the modern era. SoCal music is my familyโ€™s pride and joy and our family is getting bigger everyday. โ€˜Feel Like Thatโ€™ captures this new sentiment and we want it to be the first of many. Who wants to join the family next?โ€ โ€“ Jakob Nowell

โ€œGood things come to those who waitโ€ฆ and waitโ€ฆand waitโ€ฆawe hell, weโ€™ve been waiting too damn long!!! Now hear this!!! This is the good shit that make you โ€˜FEEL LIKE THAT!โ€™โ€ โ€“

Bud Gaugh

“Itโ€™s always great to hear Bradleyโ€™s voice, but having Jakeโ€™s voice on there makes it even sweeter.” โ€“ Eric Wilson

โ€œSublime is who inspired me to make music, being a part of this track is a full circle moment in so many ways. From the vault to the people, this oneโ€™s been a long time coming!โ€ โ€“ Stick Figure

About Sublime:

Sublime, the Long Beach, CA reggae-punk/alternative rock trio, was founded inย 1988ย byย Eric Wilson,ย Bud Gaughย and Bradley Nowell. Their first self-produced album,ย 40oz. to Freedom,ย was released in 1992ย via Skunk Records. The success ofย 40oz. to Freedomย and heavy radio exposure by Southern Californiaโ€™sย KROQย (two years after its initial release) led to Sublimeย signing toย Gasoline Alley Records, an imprint of MCA Records, just after the release of the bandโ€™s 1994 sophomore album,ย Robbinโ€™ the Hood.ย Robbinโ€™ the Hoodย revealed an experimental ethic more in keeping with cut-and-paste dub than the well-tuned rage of the Cali punk revival. The album performed well at college radio and set the stage for the breakout success of their self-titled third album. On May 25, 1996, however, lead vocalist and guitaristย Nowellย tragically passed away and the band collapsed, but the eponymousย albumย SUBLIMEย was still slated for aย Julyย 1996ย release.ย On the strength of the chart-topping alternative radio hitย โ€œWhat I Got,โ€ย the album wasย certified goldย by the end ofย 1996.ย โ€œSanteriaโ€ย andย โ€œWrong Wayโ€ย followed and enjoyed heavy airplay, and their self-titled album eventually soldย more than 7 million copies, making it one of the most popular reggae-punk albums in history. Such success spread to the bandโ€™s earlier albums too, leadingย 40oz. to Freedomย to double-platinum salesย andย Robbinโ€™ the Hoodย toย gold certification.ย Sublimeย has gone on to sell over 18 million RIAA certified albums in the US, and their genre-defining music and their cultural influence is stronger today than ever before.ย In late 2023, Bradley Nowellโ€™s son Jakob Nowell joined original Sublime members Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson on stage for the first time to perform at a benefit concert for Bad Brainsโ€™ H.R. With an undeniable musical synergy between Jakob Nowell, Gaugh and Wilson, and overwhelming reaction and support from fans across the world, the trio decided to move forward and continue the Sublime legacy, starting a new chapter of the band with Jakob Nowell as its front man.ย The trio officially debuted their new lineup at Coachella, garnering rave reviews from press and fans across the world, solidifying the next chapter of Sublime with Jakob Nowell at the helm. Sublime recently signed a new management deal with Regime Music Group co-founder Kevin Zinger and music industry vet/Vandals bassist Joe Escalante for worldwide management of business, legacy assets and licensing.ย
