Sting performed in downtown LA celebrating 20 years of the Cherrytree Music Company and we were there to catch it

Sting played the Belasco Theater in Downtown Los Angeles on Thursday, May 29th celebrating 20 years of the Cherrytree Music Companyโ€“independent label, management company, and music publisher, with net proceeds benefitting St. Jude Childrenโ€™s Research Hospital.. The event originally scheduled for January 25th was postponed due to Sting having a throat infection. Opening the show was Sophie Grey, followed by Chance Emerson, Stingโ€™s son Joe Sumner, and frequent collaborator Shaggy. Sting closed out the night with his 3.0 drummer Chris Maas (previously of Mumford & Sons) and Ben Butler who has played with Sting previously and was filling in for long-time Sting guitarist Dominic Miller.

Shaggy performed hits like โ€œAngel,โ€ โ€œBoombastic,โ€ and โ€œIt Wasnโ€™t Me.โ€ The opening sets lasted around 30 minutes each with Sting performing an hour of Police classics and solo hits.
