Spector Expands Euro and Performer Series Basses

These new designs are the first to come under the guidance of Korg USA, Inc. who announced ownership of the brand earlier this month.

Spector is expanding on two of their most notable bass lines: The Euro Series, individually crafted by hand to produce one of the brand’s most elegant bass collections and the Performer Series; Spector’s entry-level bass line that combines affordability and versatility with their legendary design. These new designs are the first to come under the guidance of Korg USA, Inc. who announced ownership of the brand earlier this month.

The Euro Series will now include three additional models: The Euro LT, the EuroBolt, and the Euro4 LE 1979; all crafted by hand with the quality and playability that Spector is known for. The Euro LT Series is an all-new range of Euro Neck-Thru models that include new features like weight-relieved construction, proprietary pickups & pre-amps from Bartolini & Darkglass, ebony fingerboards, and a selection of new colors. The EuroBolt is an all-new bolt-on model constructed from premium North American maple and European alder and also features roasted maple necks, Aguilar pickups & pre-amps, and new finishes. Both models are available in 4 or 5 string models.

The Euro4 LE 1979 is a nod to the 40th anniversary of the beloved NS-2; the bass that established the Spector legacy. The new model is a modern-day recreation of the original Brooklyn-era NS-2 complete with walnut body wings, period-correct DiMarzio pickups, and Spector’s proprietary bridge design.

Lastly, Spector is reviving their popular Performer Series with a new line-up. These competitively priced basses feature Spector’s legendary curved NS design, bolt-on construction, passive proprietary pickups, and a range of new colors.

“Spector’s iconic design has been inspiring bassists for over 40 years and these models continue that tradition,” says John Stippell, Product Manager for Guitar Brands at KORG USA, Inc. “The new Euro Series basses celebrate the legacy of Spector and also incorporate player-friendly features like weight relief, roasted maple necks, and enhanced electronics, while the return of the Performer Series brings the Spector experience to players of all levels,”.

The Euro LT will be available March 2019 for$2,599.99, the EuroBolt in March 2019 for $1,899.99 and the Euro4 LE 1979 will be available in limited quantities in 2019 only for $2,599.99.

The Performer Series will be available in March 2019 for $399.99. For more information on Spector, visit www.spectorbass.com.
