Spector Announces One-of-One Rose Sparkle Bass Auction for Breast Cancer Research

Handcrafted One-of-a-Kind NS-2 Build Features Custom Finish and Inlays to Support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation This October

Spector is supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a one-of-one Custom Shop bass created to benefit breast cancer research. Built by the Spector Custom Shop, this unique instrument brings together the brand’s signature craftsmanship and detail to raise awareness and financial support for a cause impacting families worldwide. The one-of-a-kind instrument will be sold via an online auction running now through October 20 at 8:00 PM EDT, with 100 percent of the winning bid donated directly to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

The instrument is built on Spector’s NS-2 4-string neck-thru platform featuring chambered maple wings for weight relief and painted in an Artisan Custom Rose Gold Sparkle high gloss finish. The neck construction utilizes a 3-piece maple neck shaped to a standard NS profile, paired with an ebony headstock overlay featuring a mother of pearl logo. Bult with a standard 34-inch scale length and a standard 1.64-inch nut width, the fretted Indian Rosewood fingerboard includes white side dots, custom Mother of Pearl crown inlays, and accented by a pink recon stone ribbon at the 12th fret.

For its onboard electronics, the bass comes equipped with an EMG-P/SJ pickup set. Sound shaping is driven by an internal 9-volt Spector HAZ preamp system. The hardware features a lightweight aluminum bridge, Spector-branded Gotoh tuners, and Dunlop strap locks, all finished in polished chrome. The instrument ships with a custom black-interior G&G hard case featuring a pink stitched Spector logo.

As an added inclusion for the auction winner, the instrument also comes with a limited-edition Aguilar Breast Cancer Awareness AG preamp/DI. The pedal is an incredibly flexible tool for shaping tone both on stage and in the studio. Taking its cues from Aguilar’s beloved AG series, the Aguilar Breast Cancer Awareness AG Preamp/DI Pedal features a 4-band EQ with foot switchable “Deep/Bright”, and “Engage” controls to boost and expand that tone. Gain, Treble, High Mid, Low Mid, Bass, and Volume controls dial in that perfect tone time after time. Its 18-volt operation allows for clean and transparent tone. This unit also features built-in headphone out and aux in with an XLR balanced DI out with pre/post and ground lift controls.

The auction will be hosted directly on the Spector website, where visitors can also sign up for email updates to access behind-the-scenes content detailing the build process. Bidding opens October 12 at 10:00 AM EDT; to learn more or to participate in the auction, visit spectorbass.com
