On the heels of releasing her critically acclaimed new album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, GRAMMY® and Latin GRAMMY® Award-winning artist Shakira surprised a crowd of over 40,000 people, the largest audience for a performance in Times Square and larger than any New Year’s Eve crowd, with a mesmerizing performance at the TSX Stage in Times Square. The performance included her iconic hits like Hips Don’t LieTe Felicito/TQGSession 53, as well as Puntería and Cómo Dónde y Cuándo from her new album. The event was co-produced together with TSX Entertainment, and presenting partners were ViX, Vinfast and Sony Music Latin.

What caught our attention was when the tech handed Shakira a bass before she launched into her hit “Cómo Dónde y Cuándo,” where she belted to the enthusiastic audience. Rocking a pick and a custom Fender PJ bass, the singer, alongside her usual bassist, Joe Ayoub, who was on guitar, did a nice job of laying down the low end.

Yesterday, Shakira dropped the Mike Ho-directed music video for her infectious new track (Entre Paréntesis)” alongside Grupo Frontera – watch HERE. Already topping charts around the planet, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran marks Shakira’s first album in seven years and is a dazzling testament to her resilience and strength, as well as music’s power to transform even the most trying experiences into precious moments. The record was described by NME as “her most adventurous album… an empowering comeback. She continues to push the envelope for Latin pop music and make the genre a global event”.

TSX Entertainment represents a significant leap forward in live entertainment, offering an unparalleled platform for artists to showcase their talent in one of the world’s most iconic locations. Situated behind an impressive 18,000-square-foot billboard, the stage is revealed when two massive LED doors open against the vibrant backdrop of Times Square, creating an awe-inspiring experience that will resonate with audiences for years to come.
