Electric and upright jazz bassist Reggie Washington (Branford Marsalis, Chico Hamilton) recently had his beloved upright bass stolen from a club in Brussels in September of 2022. The bassist is seeking help in replacing his instrument so he can continue gigging in 2023 and beyond.

From Washington: I’m fundraising to curb some of the cost of my acoustic bass which was stolen from a Brussels jazz club in September 2022 after performing there & forced me to leave my gear (acoustic bass & bass cabinet) there due to a family emergency. I left my bass in a supposedly “secure area” and when I returned to pick it up, it had vanished.
