Defined by eccentric harmonies, powerhouse vocals, and hypnotic groove-driven production, postergirl is a genre-blurring five-piece based between Philadelphia and New York. Their third single, “See You in the Morning,” traces a slow-burning friends-to-lovers arc, capturing the tension between intimacy, longing, and release.

“See You in the Morning” is a slow-burning, friends-to-lovers anthem that captures the quiet ache and electric tension of falling in love with your best friend and waiting for the moment it finally steps into the light.

“See You in the Morning” opens in an ethereal atmosphere before unfolding into a groove-driven fusion of funk and soul. The track builds toward an anthemic, ’80s-inspired climax the band playfully describes as “anime funk,” before returning to its stripped-back origin for a full-circle resolution.

Formed out of a shared vision for groove-forward, boundary-pushing music, postergirl was co-founded by vocalist Danielle Dougherty and bassist and producer Rani Adi. Before co-founding postergirl, Rani toured as a bassist with artists including PinkPantheress (NPR Tiny Desk) and Dove Cameron (The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon). Danielle has also toured alongside legendary drummer Chad Wackerman, known for his work with Frank Zappa, further shaping the band’s emphasis on musicianship and dynamic live performance. Bringing those experiences into their writing and production, Rani and Dougherty built postergirl as a female-fronted, genre-bending band influenced by artists such as Hiatus Kaiyote, Tame Impala, Pink Floyd, and Alabama Shakes, with the goal of creating an unforgettable live show and a production style that feels both recognizable and entirely their own.

The full lineup includes guitarist Zachary Fischer, drummer Julian Miltenberger, and keyboardist Lonell Johnson III, whose dynamic musicianship expands the band’s sonic range and brings depth and electricity to their live performances. Together, postergirl operates as a collaborative five-piece, translating their immersive studio sound into an equally powerful stage experience.

With their debut EP arriving in spring 2026, postergirl continues to refine their immersive, groove-forward sound. Stream ‘See You in the Morning’ and follow postergirl at the links below.
