Longtime rhythm section collaborators Stu Brooks (NIN, Danny Elfman) and Mark Guiliana (David Bowie, St. Vincent) are teaming up once again to hit the road in supporting Dominic Fike as they play select headlining shows along with splitting a bill with Tame Impala on the road.

“It feels great to play with my bro in this setting, and with Dom’s vision it has been unreal,” says Brooks. “We have a shorthand from years of collaborating together and many shared influences. Throughout the tour we have been slowly evolving and finding new levels every day and Mark is certainly part of this elevation.”

In addition to the tour, Fike has announced his third album titled How To Quit Smokingwith the songs and accompanying visuals being made in real time. This approach to writing and recording music gives these songs a unique energy, soaking up the surroundings while on the road and connecting with fans directly on every stop of the tour. Inspiration is found in communities and the character of each city bleeds into each of the songs. The result is an evolving body of work that can only be made here and now.

The timing for Brooks and Guiliana to assemble with Fike has been fitting, given the upcoming release of Guiliana’s new album, Beat 2.0. Thel latest single from the album, “B.eat,” has just been released.

“I’m thrilled for this track to drop as part of Mark’s new album just as we meet the halfway mark of our tour with Dominic,” says Brooks. “We’ve covered a ton of sonic ground together over the years and this track is a blend of electronic-inspired production with analog instruments, drums, bass, and Nick Semrad on synths. I love navigating that space where real bass meets synths. Mixer Steve Wall did an incredible job leaning into the natural character of my ’61 P-Bass using its round, organic woody warmth to anchor the lows and provide a human counterpoint to the synthetic textures. It creates a beautiful tension between the texture of wood and the modern electronics.”
