Nikki Monninger is the low end force behind Silversun Pickups who has written some of the most notable alternative rock bass lines in the last two decades. With a new album out and a series of world tours underway, her role as the propulsion behind the energetic music is on full display.

Nikki sat down with Bass Magazine’s Jon D’Auria to discuss the band’s new album ‘Tenterhooks, working with legendary producer Butch Vig, how she began playing bass, and what she loves about Gibson Thunderbirds.
