Morgan is recognized as a songwriter and filmmaker who sings, plays guitar, violin and piano. Based in Greenwich Village, her music and video exists in a palatable, yet provoking surrealism, hallmarked by rich lyric and whimsical chord changes.
Exquisitely avant-garde songwriter Morgan Weidinger teams up with lauded and innovative bassist Tim Lefebvre to co-produce the second single of her upcoming EP.
“Damon” is the story of the self-oppressed adult who, despite their efforts, realizes the current circumstance of their life is due to having been longterm inthralled to the wounds of their inner child.
The track features the multiple facets of both musicians with emotive vocals, lilting violin, several guitars, and a McCartney-esque bass line.
“Damon” is set to release on March 24th along with a full-length, self-written and filmed music video starring Morgan and creative contemporary Christopher Sears. The video was shot across New York City’s Upper East Side, accentuating the creepy and occasionally dismal aspects of the concrete jungle 8 million people call home.
