Maya Vik to Release New EP ‘Baby Boo’

The bassist and singer's new EP is in collaboration with Japanese producer Initial Talk

Maya is set to release a brand-new EP in collaboration with Japanese producer Initial Talk—known for his retro-inspired remixes of Dua Lipa and Kylie Minogue. The first single, «Baby Boo» drops this May via Oslo Records/Universal.

A smooth and infectious new jack swing song inspired by the sounds of Janet Jackson, Jam & Lewis, and the golden era of the genre — a bold and empowering anthem about confidence and desire. It celebrates strong women who know what they want and aren’t afraid to go after it. The lyrics are all about taking control, and finding someone who matches your energy — someone worthy of giving your last name to!
