Jens Ritter Releases Stunning New 2023 Bass Collection

The German luthier has just unveiled his latest masterpieces of artistic low end

Jens is a Master Luthier from Germany. He grew up in a musical environment which fueled his passion and love for the electric guitar culture. In his first creative childhood attempts, Jens built “electric guitars” out of wire, cookie jars and waste wood, and constructed speaker cabinets using loudspeakers of defective TVs from local dumps.

Jens lives and works in Deidesheim, a lovely little town located at the border of the Palatine Forest, South-Western Germany, only minutes away from the Rhine River. This ancient area is a famous wine-growing district, well-known for its unhurried way of life, delicious food and friendly hospitality.

Annually, no more than 120 instruments are handcrafted by Jens and his team in Ritter’s old atelier – an aged winery built in the 17th century ‐ which offers the perfect setting for him to create his masterpieces.

Jens Ritter is the only Master Luthier alive who’s electric guitars are collected by the 3 major US art museums: The MET (Metropolitan Museum of Art) in New York City, the Smithsonian Museum in Washington D.C. and the Boston Museum of Fine Art (among others).

Today his exclusive masterpieces are owned by famous musicians and collectors from around the world. He has just unveiled his stunning new collection of 2023 basses, which can be viewed: HERE
