Amid Slipknot’s Here Comes the Pain tour, which celebrates the 25th Anniversary of the menacing metal unit’s seminal self-titled debut album, the band stopped for a sold-out show at New York’s Madison Square Garden. It was here that we met up with Alessandro “VMan” Venturella before the performance to take a tour of his gear and sit down to discuss his playing in the masked metal outfit. A former guitar tech before taking center stage, VMan’s extensive gear knowledge is on full display along with his vast collection of Status basses and effects.
