Gov’t Mule has announced their Spring Tour kicking off on April 12th in Vail, CO. The upcoming run features two back-to-back nights at renowned music club Belly Up in Aspen, CO and at the iconic Georgia Theatre in Athens, GA. The Spring Tour announcement comes on the heels of the news that Gov’t Mule will perform on Saturday, April 27th and Saturday, May 4th at the Orpheum Theater in New Orleans, LA, taking place during New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. This year, the rock torchbearers are planning not one, but two shows, doubling up on this always-anticipated annual Jazz Fest tradition. Special guests will be announced soon. 

Gov’t Mule will also headline Mountain Jam, taking place June 13-16, 2019, at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts and GRAMMY Award-winning vocalist, songwriter, producer and revered guitarist Warren Haynes will return as co-presenter of the festival for its 15th year. 

Gov’t Mule’s acclaimed 10th studio album Revolution Come… Revolution Go [Fantasy Records] is out now. Spanning rock, blues, soul, jazz and country, the album won over fans and critics alike and shot up the rock charts, nabbing the band their highest-selling debut week ever. Their most diverse offering to date, Revolution Come…Revolution Go showcases the band’s evocative songwriting, incendiary playing, cleverly-crafted songs and timely lyrical commentary that speaks to our very divided political climate, poignantly capturing the tension and emotions felt by Americans regardless of political affiliation with a resounding call for unity. The album also features introspective ruminations on life and love, such as the gorgeous and moving tune “Dreams & Songs.” 

Gov’t Mule -Warren Haynes [vocals, guitar], Matt Abts [drums], Danny Louis [keyboards, guitar, and backing vocals], and Jorgen Carlsson [bass] – has galvanized a global fan base with their music and improvisational virtuosity, leading them to be recognized as one of the most timeless, revered and active bands in the world.

 Due to popular demand, Haynes also recently added a second night to his Warren Haynes Presents: Dreams & Songs – A Symphonic Journey at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium in his hometown of Asheville, NC. Set for March 16th and 17th, this weekend of world-class musicianship will kick off the Asheville Symphony’s 2019 Asheville Amadeus festival, a 10-day multi-genre Mozart-inspired event fit for all tastes and ages, and will see Haynes leading symphonic adaptations of songs spanning his vast repertoire including tunes by Gov’t Mule, Allman Brothers Band and Grateful Dead as well as music from Haynes’ solo catalogue and several surprise covers. Haynes will team up with the Asheville Symphony along with Oteil Burbridge on bass (Allman Brothers Band, Dead & Co., The Aquarium Rescue Unit), John Medeski on keyboards (Medeski Martin & Wood, Phil Lesh & Friends) and Jeff Sipe on drums (Aquarium Rescue Unit, Leftover Salmon). Rich Daniels, the versatile musical director of The City Lights Orchestra in Chicago, will conduct.
