This week in Pescara, Italy, Markbass founder Marco De Virgiliis and his team unveiled their latest in amplification innovation with the release of their MB58R series of amps, cabinets, and combos. Made of 100% recyclable materials, these amps look to the future in sustainability, while also listening to what gigging bass players want, as the entire series only weighs an amazing 20-30 lbs. In not compromising portability for power, these cabinets can handle between 400-800W of pure bass tone.

The new line includes the Pure, Energy, and P cabinets, along with two new incarnations of Little Mark heads, as well as eight new combo selections. LITTLE MARK 58R

The new LITTLE MARK 58R amp new design features all the connections and controls on the front panel leaving on the rear panel only the speaker outs and AC power socket, offering optimal ergonomics and making everything more practical. This amp features updated 4 band EQ section, the new bi-band limiter paired with a 500 watt MPT power amp, a mute switch, and the 3 way rotary-switch that that includes the options of a Flat, Scooped or FSW (Footswitchable) EQ options, all in an high build quality and ultralight new chassis in ABS (V0), a super portable package that weights only 2Kg/4.41lbs.

LITTLE MARK 58R 300

The new LITTLE MARK 58R 300 amp new design features all the connections and controls on the front panel leaving on the rear panel only the speaker outs and AC power socket, offering optimal ergonomics and making everything more practical. This 300W version is a smart choice for those who don’t need the full power of a 500W head. The MB58R 102 ENERGY features 2×10″ Markbass Neodymium custom speakers and 1″ driver with horn, and it weighs only 21.61 lbs / 9.8 kg thanks to the revolutionary enclosure material. This cabinet works great on its own, plus makes up an amazing stack when added to another Markbass 8 ohm cab (for example, another MB58R 102 ENERGY or a MB58R 151 ENERGY).

The MB58R 102 ENERGYXL features 2×10″ Markbass Neodymium custom speakers with 400W of power handling,
and 1″ driver with horn. The XL series bigger size per speaker allows to tune the cabinet in a different way, increasing the bottom-end response. The MB58R 102 PXL features 2×10″ Markbass classic ceramic speakers and a new piezo tweeter. The Pseries is created for those who like classic speakers but don’t want to carry heavy stuff. The XL series bigger size per speaker allows to tune the cabinet in a different way, increasing the bottom-end response. Thanks to the material and technology used for the cabinet, although its larger size this 2×10″ XL cabinet is still light weight and super portable (only 33.62 lbs / 15.25 kg), with amazing quality/price rate!

MB58R 102 XL PURE

The MB58R 102 PURE XL features 2×10″Markbass Neodymium custom speakers with 400W of power handling and a newhi-fi tweeter; its bigger size per speaker allows to tune the cabinet in a different way, increasing the bottom-end response. The MB58R 103 ENERGY-6 features 3×10″ Markbass Neodymium custom speakers with 600W of power handling, and 1″ driver with horn. The 3×10” cab design is the mid-way choice between a 2×10” and a 4×10”, and this configuration reaches its maximum expression in the MB58R product line, offering deeper sound, lightness and
power never seen before. Although it’s larger size, it is very portable thanks to the innovative material and technology used for the cabinet, it weighs only 32.10 lbs / 14.56 kg.

MB58R 103 PURE – 6

The MB58R 103 PURE-6 features 3×10″Markbass Neodymium custom speakers with 600W of power handling and a new hi-fi tweeter. The 3×10” cab design is the mid-way choice between a 2×10” and a 4×10”, and this configuration reaches its maximum expression in the MB58R product line, offering deeper sound, lightness and power never seen before. Although it’s larger size, it is very portable thanks to the innovative material and technology used for the cabinet, it weighs only 31.22 lbs / 14.16 kg.
