Fool In Love Festival Recap

Santana, Lionel Richie, Diana Ross, George Clinton & Parliment Funkadelic, and so many other legends performed and we were there to catch it

From the team behind Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, When We Were Young, and Sick New World came the first Fool in Love Fest from Live Nation and Redrock Entertainment, which took place outside SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA on August 30th. With a wildly packed lineup, the festival lasted nearly 12 hours. Around 80 R&B/Soul, Motown, and Latin Rock legends performed throughout the day across four stages with the headliners being Santana, Lionel Richie, Diana Ross, and George Clinton & Parliment Funkadelic. Throughout the day, iconic acts like Nile Rodgers & Chic (Jerry Barnes), Dionne Warwick, The Jacksons, Al Green, Smokey Robinson, War (Rene Camacho), The Temptations, Chaka Kahn, The Isley Brothers, Rose Royce, The Pointer Sisters, The Stylistics, Charlie Wilson, Gladys Knight, The O’Jays, The Emotions, Los Lobos (Conrad Lozano), Cameo (Aaron Mills), Tower of Power, and many more performed hit after hit. Brandon Brown “Pastor Funk” could be seen with the Jacksons and 15 minutes after their set with Mary Jane Girls. Miss Ross with CC Thomas Jr.  and Richie with Ethan Farmer on bass closed out the main stages with back to back performances. It was an action packed day and night full of legendary artists and the baddest bassists supporting them.
