We catch up with Sublimeโ€™s subsonic force to check out his gear and his playing over the years

We headed to The Great Hall at Avant Gardner in Brooklyn, NY to visit with Eric Wilson of Sublime. Known for his reggae and ska infused bass lines Eric was an integral part of the iconic Sublime sound.

In the interview below Eric opens up about his current setup, favorite bands, shares some stories about the late frontman Brad Nowell, and sheds a little light on a mysterious bass line that we discovered on the Dolby Atmos mix of their hit song โ€œDoinโ€™ Time,โ€ from their self-titled album. The Dolby Atmos bass line was originally recorded during a session of โ€œDoinโ€™ Time,โ€ the band recorded with Wyclef Jean appearing as the โ€œUptown Dubโ€ remix on the 10th anniversary deluxe edition of the album. How it ended up on the Dolby mix is still a mystery, but Jakob Nowell joins us at the end to share his thoughts along with Eric.ย
