Ed Friedland’s Road Report: The Bass Whisperer Hits The Big Apple (Video)

Bass Magazine's own Ed Friedland checks in from the road with The Mavericks from New York, where he visits The Guitar Shop to test out some amazing basses and hang with Mas Hino and Paul Nowinski.

Every month, our very own Ed Friedland delvers a video report from his adventures on the road as he tours the country with his Grammy Award-winning band, The Mavericks. He hits all the best boutique bass shops and music stores along the way, while sharing his insights on how to manage life on the road, and even takes us backstage and to his sound checks to scope the latest gear that he’s using.

This month, Ed brings us along to Brooklyn, New York, where he tests out the amazing collection of basses at The Guitar Shop and hangs out with Eric Cocco of La Bella, master bass designer Mas Hino, and fellow bassist Paul Nowinski (Les Paul, Keith Richards, Jeff Beck). Then he sits in on a groovy jam session to wrap it all up. If you think you can find that kind of action anywhere else, fuggedaboutit!
