Double Bass Duo Bellhead Release New Video for “Bad Taste” (Watch)

Bellhead will be supporting their “Bad Taste” video release with upcoming tour dates through the spring and summer

BELLHEAD, Chicago’s demolition duo of Karen Righeimer-Schock and Ivan Russia have announced the release of their new video supporting their ‘Good Intentions’ EP. The video for the fan favorite song, “Bad Taste” will be on social media platforms on 3/18/24.

The duo reunited with “Unicorn Bones” director John A. Weaver. The team worked in a secret rural Wisconsin location using a number of film techniques including the use of Super 8mm film for the majority of the video as well as 4k digital and a variety of equipment.

Weaver states: “This video places the viewer in a fever dream where BELLHEAD is hopelessly trying to escape a chaotic antagonist. Reality and hallucinations blur together and trade places as they descend into darkness. In this presentation, there is no ‘motivation’ behind why they are running. Rather, the audience is dropped into something ongoing and have only the visual clues I provide to make sense of what is going on. Just when the audience thinks they’re on to a story, I throw something in to shake them off. The goal is to create an experience that is unsettling yet captivating.”

Since 2019, BELLHEAD has been critical darlings of the press and word of mouth of their incredible live shows have spread across the  indie, goth, and alternative scenes . With their unique sound, BELLHEAD is able to cross over genres and fan bases giving them the opportunities to work alongside other popular artists. Their music and videos have been praised in media outlets such as whitelight/whiteheat, The Deli, Postpunk.com, and Sounds and Shadows. BELLHEAD has shared the stage with renowned acts such as Stabbing Westward, Clan of Xymox, Holy Wars, Night Club, Then Comes Silence, Powerman5000, Raven Black, Flaw, and more. BELLHEAD’s live performances are known for their high energy, crowd participation, and infectious hooks.

BELLHEAD will be supporting their “Bad Taste” video release with upcoming tour dates through the spring and summer including a Suicide Benefit in Milwaukee on April 6th featuring popular industrial acts Go Fight, Cyanotic, and Klack, along with direct support for Stabbing Westward in Madison Wisconsin.
