The Hollywood Vampires with Johnny Depp, Joe Perry, Alice Cooper, and others has just released two singles from his upcoming solo record

Born in Queens, Wyse became fascinated with music at an early age. After immersing himself in the Celtic tunes his Irish parents fancied, he discovered KISS, The Doors, and Led Zeppelin in grade school, and all bets were off.

Currently, a member of the supergroup, The Hollywood Vampires with Johnny Depp, Joe Perry, Alice Cooper, Tommy Henriksen, Glen Sobel and Buck Johnson. Chris has recorded and played with a vast amount of artists including Ace Frehley, Ozzy, The Cult, Jerry Cantrell, Scott Weiland, Tal Bachman, and more.

Now Wyse has released two new singles from his upcoming solo album Wyse.

Haunted Bass

The haunting sound of bowed basses and gothic like moods takes you into the feeling of a vampire movie. The perfect art-work accompaniment (by Russell Marks) shows the spirit of the haunted bass with fire and brimstone sparking out of the f-holes. Is there a ghost trapped in the bass creating mystical tones and spirit energy?
Wyse (bassist for The Hollywood Vampires) layers upright bass with dark, deep tones and melodic riffs that merge classical and modern soundtrack magic with electrifying grit. This piece showcases virtuosity and a unique approach on bass from Wyse who is largely known for hard rock. Constantly evolving the bounds of the bass and taking you on a trip of exotic darkness is the door that “Haunted Bass’ opens.

Violent Center

This is a very intense track with guest drummer Glen Sobel on drums (Wyse’ band mate from The Hollywood Vampire). The pounding bass/drum connection in the song is apparent and ramps up to a raging monster climax. There are vocal melodies and harmonies that interweave and juxtapose the heavy sounds. Wyse asks “who receives the bruises if ashes is all we are? The banshee screams top off the sophisticated odd rhythm and dark concept of “Violent Center”. This may be the pinnacle of the “heavy unique riffs” Wyse is known for. Take the journey and feel the rush at the end!

Wyse is currently hitting the road with The Hollywood Vampire, with these dates:
