Blu DeTiger – 2024 Spring Headline Tour
Blu DeTiger makes her mark on music today with the highly anticipated release of her debut studio album, All I Ever Want Is Everything, out now via Capitol Records. The young bass playing prodigy couples the release with the official video for her latest single “Latency”, adding another layer to the testament of Blu DeTiger’s prowess as the next rising pop sensation to know.
All I Ever Want Is Everything explores Blu’s journey of self-discovery and coming into her own identity. The new album embodies 14 hedonistic and infectiously groovy songs ranging between upbeat and melancholy tracks all the way down to personal yet mature and introspective tunes. All I Ever Want Is Everything hosts features from the likes of Mallrat and Magdalena Bay, as well as co-writes from esteemed artists such as Uffie, Mayer Hawthorne, Chappell Roan, Alexander 23, and Blu’s very own brother and frequent collaborator, Rex. As an artist who grew up DJing on the NYC club scene, Blu’s album track curation perfectly aligns with the pulsating and eclectic mix that is reflective of New York’s dynamic musical landscape.
“This album is about really enjoying the high moments in life, but also learning how to talk yourself out of the low moments and become your own best friend,” says Blu. “I want to let people know that you can feel it all and do it all. Wherever you’re at is cool.”
Blu also delivers her fourth and latest single from the album, “Latency” amplifying the stage that has already been set with the recent release of captivating singles “Dangerous Game”, “Kiss”, and “Cut Me Down” featuring Mallrat, which Blu produced alongside GRAMMY®-winning producer John Hill and Sam Homaee. “Cut Me Down” earned a spot on Rolling Stone’s “Songs You Need to Know” playlist upon its release last fall. Billboard observed, “On ‘Cut Me Down,’ a dizzying pop song built around a groovy and defining bass riff, the two trade verses about no one being able to bring them down. Who would dare try?” “They radiate cool to the furthest degree possible,” said Consequence of Sound. Stereogum noted, “The jittery anthem…is the sonic incarnation of a sugar rush.”
Blu will support All I Ever Want Is Everything with a North American headline tour where she invites fans old and new to join her on a journey of non-stop escapade into a world of pop, alternative indie, and her signature bass line funk. After building her profile opening for artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Charlie Puth and Jungle and headlining her own tours around the U.S. and Europe, Blu became one of her generation’s most sought-after bass players, lending her talents to Bleachers (with whom she appeared on Saturday Night Live), Chromeo, Olivia Rodrigo, Dominic Fike, Caroline Polachek and FLETCHER, among others. She is highly respected amongst her peers within the budding Lorem genre and has gone on to attain high levels of social media virality with her various cover videos and personal song debuts. Now, the 2023 NME cover star and Forbes “30 Under 30 in Music 2023” artist is inspiring a new generation of fans to take up the bass. “My motivation as an artist is to help the younger generation find an outlet to express themselves,” Blu explains.
