Bassist John Schayer Announces Highly Anticipated New Rock EP

Schayer is currently in the studio recording his new solo project

All-Star Bass Player/Guitarist/Writer John Schayer is currently in the studio recording his highly anticipated new solo project, an all-star rock music EP. In addition, he will be recording a new EP in June with The Hollywood Stars. 

Travis Bean and his business partner Marc McElwee endorsed John Schayer as one of the greatest bass players of all time referring to him as “Scales”. As a lead bassist, John Schayer played rhythm section with “The Touch” featuring Bob Welch (Fleetwood Mac) and Dallas Taylor (Crosby Stills and Nash). John is a 5-time Grammy Contender and was managed by Noel Monk (Van Halen) with his band “The Touch”. Their music was produced by legendary producer, Andy Johns (Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin). John released two albums with popular musician, Ken Khristian (Guitarist on Bill Wyman’s ‘Monkey Grip’/ Bonnie and Delaney/Bobby Womack/Sly Stone)

John performed as lead bassist with Jay Gordon and The Penetrators on Eric Clapton’s Music Festival. He currently is a member of the all-star Southern California rock band, The Hollywood Stars.

On top of his current success with the Hollywood Stars, John’s solo career has afforded him great recognition as a solid rock bassist in demand. One of his songs, “Tears Me Apart” features Grammy nominated Fans of Jimmy Century. Also, John’s solo project “I See Her Smile Again”, premiered on KISS-FM and was featured on the popular entertainment platform AXS.

As a bassist/guitarist/songwriter, John Schayer is currently featured in LA Weekly’s “Names You Need to Know in 2022” that just came out March 21, 2022.
