Elon Musk Unveils New Solar Cell-Powered Flamethrower Bass

The billionaire innovator takes his first foray into the music instrument field with his new eco-friendly 4-string model that also shoots a deadly flame at long ranges.

The new Boring Co. Solar Cell-Powered Flamethrowing Bass Prototype

April 1st, 2019 – Famed inventor and entrepreneur Elon Musk’s The Boring Company imprint has announced today the release of their highly experimental new solar cell-powered, flamethrowing bass guitar that will hit the market later this summer. A limited run of only 1,000 of these eco-friendly, fire-shooting 4-strings will be available to the first patrons who preorder them through his website.

After gaining much publicity for releasing advanced Tesla motor vehicles, announcing his plan for humans to travel to Mars, and manufacturing his Boring Co. flamethrowers, Musk felt that breaking into the music industry was his next best viable option. The 47-year-old innovator then brought his highest level engineers to an undisclosed workshop where he enlisted the help of famed bassists Les Claypool, Geddy Lee, and Flea, along with four of the original KISS 1978 World Tour pyrotechnic team to create this modern marvel of solar innovation, destruction, and all around fantastic low end tone.

“I mean, this is f—ing metal, am I right dudes?” Musk speaking at his recent launch event.

“We could’ve simply designed a guitar for this project, but our research found that bass is one of the fastest growing niches when it comes to instrument sales and young musicians, and the body of a bass actually facilitated these innovations much better than that of a typical 6-string guitar,” Musk explained.

The bass is inspired by an NS Design Radius body, and is equipped with two solar cells that naturally generate power for the instrument through their absorption of light. The bass is also equipped with a solar-powered, propane-fueled flamethrower with a range of 110 feet that travels at .5 gallons per second and is compatible with napalm. When asked why he would include such a risky and potentially dangerous addition to this beautiful instrument, Musk simply shrugged and let rip a 50-foot warning flame as he then worked his way through the intro bass line of Rage Against The Machine’s 1991 classic “Bombtrack.”

“This bass features a 34″ scale for easy playability, a sleek matte black finish, and powerful EMG pickups for deep low end tone, along with two solar cells that make this the first eco-friendly instrument on the market to reduce a player’s footprint on the planet. And additionally, it also features an insanely powerful propane-fueled flamethrower if you also want to destroy a 100-foot radius of the planet as well. THIS BABY JUST SIMPLY RIPS!” shouted Musk over the blaring sound of Pantera’s seminal hit “Cowboys From Hell” as he thrust devil fingers in the air and headbanged his way across the packed convention stage.
