On top of his other many projects, Sharay has announced the release of two new books with Care: A Book of Bass and Bach n' Bass: 2 Part Inventions.

To take on the legendary compositions of J.S. Bach, Sharay broke the arrangements down into two accompanying bass parts, which will be released on an album to coincide with his new book. To celebrate the release, Sharay joined Bass Magazine's Mark Najjar and Jody Miller in Chicago to perform "Invention #1 in C Major, BWV 772."

Care: A Book of Bass is Reed's second bass book. In it he discusses the spirit behind his bass playing, which all centers from the concept of Care. The book is filled with plenty of wisdom and practical advice that will help you to take your bass playing into every place and on every level.

Bach n' Bass: 2 Part Inventions is a book of transcriptions where Reed has compiled and recorded a collection of two-part inventions by J.S. Bach. These 10 inventions have been arranged and transcribed for two electric basses and will be accompanied by an album of the recorded material.
