The charity auction will benefit the Oakland Unified School District and its music and arts programs.

Pirates Press, one of the world’s largest vinyl manufacturers, has announced a charity auction campaign to coincide with its 15anniversary celebration called ROCK THE SHIP.

The charity auction will benefit the Oakland Unified School District and its music and arts programs. All of the auction items were generously donated by Pirates Press, its friends, and family, boasting over 40 different packages to bid on. Auctions from Tim Armstrong (Rancid), Cock Sparrer, Ben Venom, Punk Rock Bowling, Matt Freeman (Rancid), Fender, and The Bar Stool Preachers highlight an extensive list of donations.

“This auction can make a difference for a lot of kids – getting them more access to art and music in local public schools!” says Skippy, the owner and founder of Pirates Press.

The auction will last through Saturday, October 19th at 6 PM PST. Anyone interested can bid online at http://www.piratespress.com/auction. There will also be special, limited edition t-shirts curated by 10 different tattoo artists from around the globe that can only be purchased at Rock The Ship that will benefit Oakland Unified School District.

Rock The Ship is the 15th anniversary celebration for Pirates Press which features a number of shows across the Bay Area with bands from Pirates Press Records, the in-house record label that has boasted the likes of Cock Sparrer, Rancid, Off With Their Heads, The Templars, Street Dogs, The Old Firm Casuals, Charger, and many others as part of their roster.

Highlighting the Rock The Ship lineup includes the capstone event on Saturday Oct. 19th aboard the USS Hornet featuring Cock Sparrer, Subhumans, Street Dogs, Off With Their Heads, Monster Squad, The Drowns, and Territories. In addition, various club shows from Oct. 17th – 20th around the Bay Area include performances from The Old Firm Casuals, Charger, Bad Cop / Bad Cop, Swingin’ Utters, The Bar Stool Preachers, and many others.
