Bassist Mai Leisz has released her latest track “Raven,” which is the newest addition to a series of singles she has been releasing this year. Featuring Mike Landau on electric guitar, Greg Leisz on lap steel guitar, and Gary Novak on drums, the track is centered around Mai’s deep grooves and melodic voice on bass. 

Mai Leisz (pronounced Lease) is a bass player and composer from the shadowland of the North: post-soviet country, Estonia, where she was born and raised. In 2010 she made the move to Sweden where she honed her craft as an electric bass player and composer. She started gaining wider exposure with her own jazz-fusion group MaiGroup as well as freelancing with different jazz bands and pop artists. Mai eventually moved to Los Angeles, where she is working on new material with her new and first band with American musicians: guitarist Michael Landau, multi-instrumentalist Greg Leisz and drummer Gary Novak.
