The Italian bassist has joined the Trickfish roster of bass players

Italian bassist Lorenzo Feliciati has announced that he has joined the Trickfish family of artists.

From Feliciati: It’s official!

I am truly happy and honored to have started a collaboration few days ago with @trickfishamps

I used their Bullhead 1k and two of their TF 112 cabinets in two gigs and a live Dvd recording I did in the Netherlands last week and I am still smiling…

Trickfish was founded few years ago by Richard Ruse, the pre section of their heads has been designed by the great Mike Pope (who played with C Corea’s Elektric Band and also designed the active electronics of @foderaguitars).

I’ll keep you all updated about the gear I’ll use on stage, I am receiving lots of infos and tips about this by the expert Paul Sips @bassmatters (another crucial and decisive part of all this…thank you P.A.U.L.!) and the one and only @justinhuth7.

Here I am with the outstanding Minnow preamp, already did some recordings at home with it and it sounds…well, it sounds like a Trickfish does:clear, warm, punchy and round.

Feliciati is a frequently-flying well-travelled artist that has been exploring and mixing many different genres throughout all his long career, to the extent of creating his very own unique style that makes his music always recognizable. A distinctive feature within a very complex and varied production, that is more likely to be found around the progressive rock and nu jazz section in a record store.

Feliciati’s work is split between his evolving career as one of the most important bass players in the contemporary international scene, and his role as one of Italy’s greatest studio and live professional musicians. And even more so, he’s especially renowned for his outstanding talents as composer, arranger and producer.

Feliciati’s collaborations include:
Bob Mintzer( Yellowjackets), Pat Mastelotto (King Crimson), Cuong Vu ( Pat Metheny Group), Chad Wackerman(Frank Zappa, Allan Holdsworth), Steve Jansen(Japan, David Sylvian), Martin Verdonk(Prince, Chaka Khan,Stevie Winwood), Sean Freeman ( Level 42,Eric Clapton, Joe Bonamassa), Mattias IA Eklundh, Niccolò Fabi, Giovanni Lindo Ferretti, Colin Edwin(Porcupine Tree), Gianluca Petrella, Orchestra Operaia di Massimo Nunzi, MIchele Rabbia, Marco Minneman, Eivind Aarset, NIls Petter Molvaer, Graham Haynes, Lorenzo Esposito Fornasari, Roberto Gualdi (PFM), Daniele Gottardo, Donovan, Tiromancino, Maurizio Giammarco, Domenico Modugno, Fiorella Mannoia, DJ Skizo
