"Choke," breaking artist I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME (iDKHOW)'s debut single, currently #18 on the Alternative radio chart with nearly 28-million streams, gets a whole new make-over today as a playful acoustic track. With iDKHOW's creative force Dallon Weekes on lead vocals and bass, the acoustic "Choke" is backed only by ragtime-imbued piano, horns and bass, and a gleeful-sounding background chorus, all coming across like a musical theatre sing-a-long.

The original "Choke" is the first track from iDKHOW's debut EP, 1981 Extended Play (Fearless) and is an excellent example of Weekes' catchy, upbeat music juxtaposed with witty, sardonic lyrics:

"Now shut your dirty mouth

If I could burn this town

I wouldn't hesitate

To smile while you suffocate and die..."

...Dallon sings over the song's exuberant horn-laden chorus.
iDKHOW - Weekes along with good friend Ryan Seaman on drums, is currently on its first-ever North American headline tour that kicked off Thursday night with a sold out show in Dallon's hometown of Salt Lake City. Shows in Chicago, Dallas and New York City are also sold out. The heart and soul of I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME is Dallon Weekes, long-time bassist for Panic! At The Disco and one of the songwriters/lyricists behind Panic's Platinum release Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!. Good friend and professional drummer Ryan Seaman played drums on the EP's tracks as well as on live dates. iDKHOW's music is a catchy concoction of art rock, space rock and alternative, with swaggering, magnetic pop vocals and witty, sardonic lyrics.

IDKHOW's debut single, "Choke," has already reached the Top 20 on the Alternative Radio charts, and accumulated more than 27-million streams. iDKHOW released its six-song debut EP, 1981 Extended Play (Fearless) in late 2018, that has topped 42-million streams to date, and Alternative Press and the UK's Rock Sound have already put iDKHOW on their respective covers. iDKHOW's quirky backstory: a lost act from the late 70s/early 80s that never quite made it, but its rare and long-forgotten music has recently been unearthed thanks to today's resources like YouTube. iDKHOW is getting a second chance for the first time.
