GRAMMY® Award-nominated songwriter, producer, and guitarist extraordinaire Cory Wong has announced today’s release of THE PAISLEY PARK SESSION, an all-new live album recorded and filmed earlier this year at Prince’s legendary Paisley Park private estate and production complex near Wong’s hometown of Minneapolis. The album is available now at all DSPs and streaming services. In addition, last night saw the full-length video livestream premiere of THE PAISLEY PARK SESSION; unlimited replays are available now on-demand through 12:00 midnight ET on Saturday, October 30. Tickets are available now, exclusively via Mandolin HERE. THE PAISLEY PARK SESSIONincludes "Dean Town," originally performed by Vulpeck and available now on Youtube and all streaming and download services.

“Paisley Park is such a legendary place to record music,” says Wong. “It was Prince’s studio and even home for years. Studio A was his sanctuary. Coming back to Paisley Park and recording my songs was an absolute joy. The band was HOT that day and it shows in the recording.

“I grew up just on the other side of town from Paisley Park and this was my first time recording in Studio A. It was fun to watch and listen to The Hornheads and Sonny T tell stories about countless hours and nights in the studio and hear about the music they made there that’s both become hit songs AND never been released before. The creative energy in the studio is palpable, and you hear/see it in this session."

Cory Wong and The Wongnotes – joined by featured vocalist Antwaun Stanley – are currently poised to embark on an epic North American tour, kicking off November 3 at Kansas City, MO’s Madrid Theatre and then traveling through a February 19, 2022 homecoming at Minneapolis, MN’s famed First Avenue. GRAMMY® Award-nominated songwriter, producer, and guitarist extraordinaire Cory Wong is a masterful musician and impossible-to-categorize artist adept at blending a variety of genres into his own unique sound. From his work as a member of Vulfpeck and The Fearless Flyers to collaborations with Dave Koz and Jon Batiste, the Minneapolis, MN-based Wong has proven a restless creator and visionary musician hailed for his distinctly original approach and dazzling live performances. 2020 saw Wong release an extraordinarily diverse series of eight original albums, spanning a stunning selection of sounds and musical styles. This year has already seen the premiere of his inventive new YouTube musical variety series, Cory and the Wongnotes, as well as an original album collecting music from the series’ first season backed by his explosive new 11-piece big band. CORY WONG AND THE WONGNOTES marks the first album in what will undoubtedly be another busy year for the indefatigable Wong as he continues making his mark as a prolific, once-in-a-lifetime artist and personality.
