In a career that spans over 30 years, bassist/composer Ben Allison has developed his own instantly identifiable sound. Known for his inspired arrangements, inventive grooves and hummable melodies, Ben draws from the jazz tradition and a range of influences from rock and folk to 20th century and a broad range of music from around the world, seamlessly blending them into a cinematic, cohesive whole.

His latest album, Moments Inside is his 14th album and the 4th to be released on Sonic Camera Records. Ben’s engaging tunes provide the framework for two of the most dynamic and interactive guitarists on the NYC scene Chico Pinheiro and Steve Cardenas to weave magic. Along with the serenely funky combination of Ben and drummer phenom Allan Mednard, Moments Inside is a beautiful album that speaks of peace and camaraderie in these troubling times.
