New York-based alt/new-wave/pop power trio, New Myths are debuting their forthcoming EP, All The Shiny Things, due November 12th. To commemorate the release of the new EP, New Myths will host an EP release show on Thursday, November 18 at TV Eye. They are also playing a Halloween show at The Broadway on Sunday, October 31, featuring a Go Go's cover set performed by the band.

Bassist and vocalist Maria Ross says of the EP, “This EP really is a product of being lucky enough to hang out with my wicked talented friends and having a fuck ton of fun making music together, which I feel like you can really hear (you know what I mean??) So, if you’re looking for music that makes you want to get up to some stupid fun shit with your friends, we may have something for you.”

"We just really wanted to have some fun with this EP, and explore a heavier rock sound, which is closer to how we sound live. We let loose and really leaned into something more upbeat, which is what we all had been moving towards since our last album release. We laughed (a lot) while recording in upstate NY with our producer Seth Glassman, and played around, while maintaining a sound that still made us want to go out and kick some doors down. We wanted to create something that we had all been looking to listen to but couldn’t exactly find, and had a really fucking good time in the process."

Brooklyn alt rock/new wave/pop power trio NEW MYTHS is the collaboration of Brit Boras (guitar/lead vocals), Rosie Slater (drums/vocals), and Marina Ross (bass/vocals). The trio writes what they love, combining elements from bands such as Garbage, Elastica, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and The Pretenders.

In 2012, NEW MYTHS released their self-titled EP. The first single, “False Gold” was immediately featured by Lou Reed on his XM radio show and used in several ad campaigns for companies such as Gucci and Reef Surfwear. Via their own record label, NEW MYTHS released their debut LP, Give Me Noise, in 2014. Following the release, the band was written up by major publications such as The New York Times, The Guardian, Brooklyn Vegan, Earmilk, and Pop Matters.
