A Night For Juan: Deltron 3030, DJ Qbert, Kid Koala and More to Perform at Benefit For Juan Alderete

The concert is April 16th at the Lodge Room in Los Angeles. All proceeds will go to Juan's recovery fund.

Back in January, bassist Juan Alderete (The Mars Volta, Racer X, Marilyn Manson) suffered a serious head trauma injury after a biking accident left him in a coma (read more: HERE). Juan is still in the early phases of recovery, and to aid his progress, his hip-hop collaborators Deltron 3030, Kid Koala, Qbert, Jonwayne, and more are putting on a benefit concert with all of the money raised going to Juan and his wife Anne’s aid towards the tremendous cost of the medical expenses.

The concert is taking place April 16th at the Lodge Room in Los Angeles. Tickets are on sale now (HERE).

From Juan’s wife Anne:

Hip-hop is one of Juan’s first loves, and whether it’s old Geto Boys or Kendrick, he listens to this genre more than any other. When I first met him in 1999, he talked in awe about playing with Dr. Octagon and the chance to work with Kool Keith and Dan the Automator @dan_the_a . He was reunited with Dan once again in @officialdeltron and touring with them was one of his greatest passions. From the friendships he formed with everybody in the band to the gourmet food experiences that he, Dan and the rest of the crew shared because they all love to eat well, he always looked forward to hitting the road with them. I’m so happy to announce that the band is getting together for a fundraiser show right here in Highland Park at The Lodge Room to raise money fo his recovery. I’m so grateful to Dan, Del, Kid Koala, DJ Qbert and the rest of Deltron as well as Jonwayne (opening with a special beat set) with whom Juan has often collaborated and shares a close friendship for coming together to support Juan.
